Intimate venues, song writing, recording, and building relationships.
This week we’re at The Cumberland Arms in Newcastle with singer songwriter Willy Mason. Here we discussed intimate venues, song writing, recording, and building relationships.
The laid back and wonderful Willy Mason + us.
Willy was first championed by Zane Lowe in the early noughties, and it was via the radio he became huge in the UK before being widely known in his home country the US
Another guest who is fond of the intimate venues, he is so laid back and easy to get along with, you can see why build relationships is something he has been able to successfully foster over the years..
Willy mentioned love as his good cause for the week. We don’t want to gloss over this, as it is something many people go without. Ben subsequently mentioned Age UK, a charity dedicated to helping the aged with a wide range of services. A little bit of love can go a long way, and as Jarvis Cocker once sang “Help the aged, one time they were just like you”.
