Mastering your equipment, band leaders, and playing the West End

This week is our final instalment of the trilogy with guitarist and band leader Jamie McCredie. Here we move on mastering your equipment, band leaders, and playing the west end.

Jamie commented on how by guitarist standards, he's pretty good when it comes to buying equipment, in that he'll only buy what he needs. That said, he makes damn sure he knows how it works. Back to the obsessive behavioral trait, it's important to master your equipment.

The concept of a band leader was somewhat of a mystery to us. As Jamie started to describe the role, it made sense and sounded exciting an daunting in equal measure. Suffice to say it was interesting to find out more about this, and something you need to be talented to do well.

If you have the dedication that Jamie does, then opportunities come knocking. We finished off my talking about his time working on the West End, particularly on the Book of Mormon which Ben is evidently a huge fan of.

The good cause for the trilogy is the British Association for Preforming Arts Medicine, who were critical in helping Jamie at an important point in his career.
