This week the topic is festivals, an essential element of any music lovers’ summer. We love festivals here at ACPG. Many a summer spent on the Isle Of Wight and other fields dotted across the UK soaking up the sun and drowning in the rain whilst being treated to an amazing showcase of music within a mini microcosm of society that is the festival experience.

It was the summer 2018 that we caught up with Emma Zillmann of From the Fields who puts on big UK festivals Kendal Calling and Blue Dot. What does it take to put on a festival and how do bands get on her radar when it’s time to book acts? Loads of great content in this episode.

Here we are in the From the Fields offices with Emma. Ben even looks ready for a festival.

In season 1 we spoke to the BBC’s very own radio legend Mark Radcliffe about festivals. He’s been going to Glastonbury for pretty much as long as we’ve been alive, so be sure check out that episode here as well.

All in all, festivals are designed to be fun. Lots of fun. Whether you’re an artist or music lover, get involved. Have you played festivals as an emerging artist? Any interesting festival stories? We’d love to hear from you.

The good cause for this week comes from Emma Zillmann and is GuideDogs.org.uk. Find out more in the links below.
